Church and Community

Jesus said 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart...and love your neighbour as yourself'.  Both our churches have a committment to serving both the world, and their community in a variety of ways, according to local need.

At St Philips we have a community cafe that meets on Monday mornings from 9-11am, a 'Play and Stay' group for parents and their children (Monday mornings) , and a Knit and natter group (tuesday evenings 6pm onwards).

We also welcome both the church and the parish centre (next door) being used for community events. Currently  there is a mums and tots group that meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thusday mornings, and an over 50's exercise group that meets on Thursdays (1pm onwards).

We also offer faciltites to two other churches: Jubilee Church, and Lighthouse International. Please take a look at the calendar and find out what is on.

One thing that we can all do is pray - for the world, and for one another - our map of the world shows some of the places which we pray for.
